Renewable Energy Site Engineer
Location: Albany, NY (RELOCATION IS AVAILABLE)
Salary Range: $90K - $115K/yr

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Renewable Energy team, focusing on the design and development of solar, battery energy storage, and other renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Civil/Site design, including grading, stormwater management, and site layout. This role involves collaborating with project teams and clients to deliver high-quality renewable energy projects from concept to construction.
The Renewable Energy Site Engineer will be responsible for designing and producing plans, conducting site assessments, and supporting the permitting process. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy development.

Key Responsibilities:
●Conduct site feasibility visits and perform assessments to determine project suitability.
●Assist with the development of preliminary site layouts and detailed designs for solar and renewable energy systems.
●Produce site plans, construction documents, and structural drawings for permit approvals and construction purposes.
●Perform grading design, stormwater calculations, and other civil engineering tasks to ensure site compliance with environmental regulations.
●Support the permitting application process, ensuring that all designs meet local and state regulations.
●Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure successful project execution.
●Deliver high-quality designs and technical solutions within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.

Qualifications:
●Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
●8+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design for renewable energy projects.
●Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant design software.
●EIT or PE license preferred.
●Experience with stormwater permitting, hydraulic calculations, and familiarity with environmental regulations.
●Self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
