About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee hotel renovation projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be involved in every stage of the project, from defining scope and design to planning, pre-construction, construction, closeout, and follow-up. Your ability to manage multiple stakeholders, maintain brand standards, and ensure project success will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project phasing schedules, ensuring clear communication of progress, delays, and potential conflicts.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project.
Interpret blueprints, perform take-offs, and anticipate potential issues before they arise.
Lead and manage all aspects of the pre-construction phase, including estimating, budgeting, and scope development.
Oversee procurement, materials receiving, inventory management, and FF&E installation.
Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, ensuring cohesive schedules and daily task coordination.
Track and manage change orders, keeping accurate logs and collaborating with field teams.
Conduct project closeout tasks, including final budget analysis, punch lists, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Lead project meetings with hotel ownership and other stakeholders, providing updates and ensuring alignment with expectations.
Maintain adherence to major hotel brand standards (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, etc.).
Desired Skills & Competencies:
Strong ability to coordinate teams and maintain high morale throughout the project lifecycle.
Excellent communication skills, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
Ability to thrive under pressure while keeping projects on track.
Attention to detail in project documentation and reporting.
Experience with project management software such as BlueBeam, PlanGrid, or Smartsheet is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in hotel renovations or occupied tenant improvement projects.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Ability to travel up to 50% as required by project needs.
Previous experience working in traveling construction teams is preferred.
