Job Description

The Child Life Specialist plans and implements a Child Life program which is focused upon the emotional and developmental needs of the hospitalized child, adolescent, and family. S/he works with members of the medical, nursing, social service, Chaplaincy, and Volunteer Services staff to provide a comprehensive and integrated range of therapeutic activities.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Recreational Therapy, or Elementary Education

  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals
